INTERNATIONAL FORUM ON “MONGOLIA’S CIVIL SERVICE AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AND EXPERIENCE” HELD IN ULAANBAATAR

     As part of the 30th anniversary of the Civil Service Council of Mongolia, an international forum under the theme “Mongolia’s Civil Service and International Cooperation and Experience” was held in Ulaanbaatar on July 2, 2025.

     The forum aimed to explore international best practices in strengthening civil service capacity, developing human resources, and improving ethical standards and recruitment systems. It also served as a platform for mutual exchange of experiences and expanding future cooperation.

     In her opening remarks at the International Forum, Ms. L.Tsedevsuren, Chairwoman of the Civil Service Council of Mongolia, highlighted that the forum is being held in conjunction with the 30th anniversary of Mongolia’s central civil service authority. She emphasized that Mongolia has accumulated a wealth of good practices and know-how, and that the purpose of the forum is to promote and share those experiences, while also learning from internationally recognized best practices and successful reforms implemented in other countries through cooperation.

     Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia, Mr. D.Amarbayasgalan, along with Ms. Marie-Chantal Girard, President of the Public Service Commission of Canada, and Mr. Azamat Zholmanov, Rector of the Academy of Public Administration of Kazakhstan, delivered welcome remarks at the forum. 

     Keynote speaker Ms. Ts.Amartugs, Chairperson of the Ethics Committee and Member of the Civil Service Council, delivered a presentation titled “Modern Civil Service Development and Collaborative Outcomes”. Additionally, Ms. D.Surenchimeg, Director of the Academy of Management, spoke on the trends and challenges in civil servant training and development in Mongolia.

    The forum continued with open discussions, where participants exchanged views on topics such as accountability, ethics, and human resource development in civil service.

    The forum was jointly organized by the Civil Service Council, the Ethics Committee, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Civil Service Sub-Council.
