"Meeting with Ambassadors and Representatives from the International organizations in Ulaanbaatar "

In accordance with the Government Resolution No.2024/205, July 3 was announced as “Public Service Day” to be celebrated annually. On the occasion of the Anniversary, Ethics Committee of Mongolia and Public Service Council of Mongolia jointly conducted discussive meeting among the Ambassadors and Representatives from the International organizations in Ulaanbaatar.
In her opening remarks, Ms. L.Tsedevsuren.L, Chairwoman of the Public Service Council highlighted that formulation of qualified, ethical and competent servants was reflected as one of the priorities in the “Vision 2050” long term development policy of Mongolia. It is considered that more stable, specialized, qualified and independent from political influences shows better result of changes and reforms throughout socio-economic and politics. Also, she stressed the close cooperation, support and experiences from the international organization and foreign Governments are crucial to the reforming phase of the public service of Mongolia.
Ms. Ts.Amartugs, Chairperson of the Ethics Committee of Mongolia informed that the State Great Khural and the Government of Mongolia have been paid significant attention to ensuring justice and ethics for public servants and approved the Law on Ethics of Public Servants and the National program on prevention of ethical violation of public servants and enlightenment which is targeted to implement until 2030. And, the Ethics Committee of Mongolia has mandatories to introduce in harmonizing and supervising the ethics and integrity approaches to the public service.
At the meeting, Mr. D.Baatarsaikhan, Member of the Public Service Council presented on Public service reform process and its outcomes and Mr. Sh.Batsukh, Member of the Ethics Committee introduced about legislation on ethics of public servants for discussion.
The meeting was attended by around 20 representatives from Embassies, International organizations and NGOs and expressed their opinions and experiences.
